What is a flash event?

Rat King flash events are opportunities for us to open our shop to more clients than typical appointments allow! We offer pre-drawn, repeatable designs, usually at a discounted price. These events are sometimes just for fun (like our birthday events) and often for fundraising!

We pride ourselves on our flash events being fun, safe, and uplifting experiences for our clients.

How do flash events work?

Due to demand, we book our flash events the night before they begin!

We will drop a link on our instagram stories that allows you to book a time slot with one of our artists. The day of the event you will receive a reminder text and/or email. When you arrive at the shop you can check in with our front desk attendant.


Please keep in mind the time slots can be a rough estimate as our artists need time to prepare themselves and their stations. We appreciate your patience!


How are flash events different from appointments?

Flash events are first come, first serve events with predetermined designs available. Unlike a custom appointment you only have select designs to choose from, and we only book these events the night before. Our events only last one day so we are only able to tattoo a limited number of people in specific available time slots.


If you are interested in a one of a kind design, or want to guarantee a specific time, we recommend booking a standard appointment with one of our artists!


How long will my tattoo take?

While we try to plan out specific time slots, life happens! Wait times and the time spent tattooing is based on specific artist and design. We appreciate patience and flexibility on event days.


Flash events work best for those who are not on tight time constraints!


We recommend that anyone who needs a tattoo done in a specific time frame make a standard appointment.


Can I walk in and get a tattoo?

We book our event days online in advance. We are a small business with a limited number of artists and are unable to accommodate walk in tattoos at this time.

In the event of a cancellation there may be time slots available, so keep checking our instagram the day of the event for any updates about available times!


You are welcome to come in even if you weren’t able to book a time slot! Our events feature raffles, art vendors, and other fun for everyone. We would love for you to join us and participate in the fun even if you aren’t able to book a time slot! Will you change/customize a flash design for me?

Flash tattoos are by definition, predesigned artwork that is not customizable.

Flash designs may be slightly altered by request at the artist’s discretion. We want you to leave happy, so it’s always worth asking, but we cannot always accommodate these requests!

There are no guarantees your preferred design can be altered.
